Why does the Abraham Hays Foundation exist?

The Abraham Hays Foundation was formed in an effort to save and restore one of America's most historic and storied homes, the landmark, Harden Place. The mansion was built on the homestead of one of Pittsburgh’s first pioneers, Abraham Hays, and his remarkable family. Harden Place has a rich history and a bright future when our efforts are realized.
