Why does the Abraham Hays Foundation exist?

The Abraham Hays Foundation was formed in an effort to save and restore one of America's most historic and storied homes, the landmark, Harden Place. The mansion was built on the homestead of one of Pittsburgh’s first pioneers, Abraham Hays, and his remarkable family. Harden Place has a rich history and a bright future when our efforts are realized.

Our goal at the Abraham Hays Foundation is for you to join us in this momentous endeavor. Above you will find three tabs: The "Our Story" link above chronicles the journey of foundation President Jim Deibel as he researched his family history and discovered this family landmark and cultural treasure. Be captivated by the "Our Goal" section to see the need for membership and urgency of saving Harden Place.

Our prayer is that you will "Take Action" with us!
